Every Finished Piece Starts With a Square, Accurate Box
A cabinet that is out of square by even an eighth of an inch causes problems that do not show up until much later, when a door will not hang level or a countertop will not sit flat against the wall. Getting the box right before it moves anywhere else in the shop is not a minor detail. It is the difference between a job that goes together clean on the assembly floor and a job that fights everyone involved from that point forward, including our own installation crew standing on a job site trying to square up something that was never square to begin with.
CBBE has been building commercial millwork out of our Canton, Georgia facility since 1985, and our boxline is where that consistency starts. Every carcass we build, whether it is headed into a bank branch, a hospital corridor, a school, or a corporate lobby, passes through this stage before it ever reaches cabinet line assembly, finishing, or installation.
How We Build a Square, Repeatable Box
Our boxline works from the same shop drawings our engineering team produces, so panel sizes, hardware locations, and construction details are already worked out before a sheet of material gets cut. Panels are sized and edge banded to tight tolerances, and boring for hinges, drawer slides, and cam lock construction happens at this stage, so the box arrives at assembly ready to go together without anyone having to correct a measurement on the fly. Material grade and sheet quality are checked here too, before time gets invested in a panel that should never have made it past inspection. We source panel material through FSC certified suppliers, so the wood going into every box can be traced back to responsibly managed forests.
We Do Not Lowball to Win Work
Some shops submit a low number to get the contract and then make it back through change orders. We do not operate that way. The number we give you reflects what it actually costs to do the job correctly with good materials and proper installation. If we can find a legitimate way to save you money without compromising the finished product, we will tell you about it. But we are not going to quote you a price that we know is not real just to get your signature on a contract.
We also do not pad estimates to protect ourselves from unknowns we are too lazy to research. If there is something unclear in the documents, we pick up the phone and ask. We would rather spend 20 minutes getting clarity than build a job wrong or spend three months arguing over change orders.
Consistency Matters More on Commercial Projects Than Anywhere Else
Our sales team has been working with GCs and architects in this region for a long time. We understand how commercial construction moves, we know how to respond to RFIs quickly, and we know how to keep our part of the schedule from becoming somebody else's problem. When a bid deadline is coming up fast, we prioritize getting you a complete, accurate number on time.
If you are an architect writing specs, we are glad to talk through what is realistic for a given budget or how a particular detail is going to come together in production. We are not going to push you toward something that does not work just because it is easier for us to build.
