The Job Is Not Finished Until It Is Installed Right

The best millwork in the world does not mean much if it runs into problems on site. A piece that fits perfectly on paper can still go wrong in the field if the walls are not plumb, if the trades ahead of us left the space in bad shape, or if the crew handling the install does not understand how the piece was actually built. Installation is where every decision made back in the shop either holds up or falls apart in front of the client.

CBBE has run its own installation crews since 1985, working out of our Canton, Georgia facility and covering projects across Georgia and the broader Southeast. Installation has never been a piece of the job we hand off to a local subcontractor who has never seen the millwork before the day it shows up on a truck.

Field Conditions Are Never Exactly Like the Drawings

Renovations in particular rarely match the drawings perfectly. Existing walls settle out of plumb over decades, bank branches often need to stay open and operating during construction, and healthcare renovations sometimes require after-hours or phased work so patient areas are never disrupted. Our crews plan for these realities before the first piece arrives on site, rather than discovering them the morning installation is supposed to start.

Our Crews Know What They Are Installing

Because our installers work for the same company that built the piece, they understand how it was constructed, what is adjustable in the field, and what is not. That knowledge is the difference between a crew that can solve a field problem correctly on the spot and a crew that either forces a piece into place the wrong way or calls the shop and waits days for an answer. Installers who only ever see finished millwork the day it arrives on a truck do not have that advantage.

Schedules on Commercial Projects Do Not Move for Us

Installation sits at the end of a long construction schedule, and a delay at this stage affects everyone else on the job, from the general contractor to the flooring crew to the client's opening date. We coordinate directly with GCs and other trades to keep our part of the schedule on track, and because our pieces are built and inspected correctly before they ever leave Canton, our crews are not spending install days fixing problems that should have been caught in the shop.
