Solid Surface

Solid Surface

Seamless Surfaces Built to Take Daily Abuse

A countertop in a bank lobby or a hospital nurses station gets used hard, every day, for years, in a way a residential kitchen counter never does. Seams that open up, edges that chip, or a surface that stains after six months of coffee cups and disinfectant wipes is not what anyone signed off on when the project was specified. Solid surface is supposed to solve that problem. It only does, though, if it is fabricated and installed by people who understand what commercial use actually demands from it.

CBBE has been fabricating solid surface for commercial interiors since 1985 out of our Canton, Georgia facility. It is one of the core capabilities we built our reputation on alongside wood veneer casework, and it shows up in nearly every financial institution, healthcare facility, and corporate lobby we have completed.

What Our Solid Surface Team Fabricates

Our solid surface department builds transaction counters, teller lines, reception desks, nurses stations, vanity tops, and lobby surfaces where a seamless, monolithic look matters. We thermoform the material where a design calls for curves rather than forcing a curved concept into flat panels, and we fabricate integral sinks and bowls as one continuous surface rather than dropping in a separate basin that becomes a seam and a cleaning problem later.

Seaming and Finishing Done Right

A solid surface seam should be invisible once it is finished, not a visible line that collects grime over time. That comes down to using the correct color-matched adhesive, clamping and curing the seam properly, and sanding and polishing it to match the surrounding surface texture exactly. Edge details get the same attention. A bullnose or a beveled edge that is inconsistent from one section to the next is obvious the moment light hits it, and we do not let that leave our facility.

Built for Commercial Use, Not Residential

Commercial solid surface work is a different discipline from a residential kitchen counter shop cutting one slab for one homeowner. We fabricate to volume, hold tolerances across dozens of identical counters for a multi-branch rollout, and build to code requirements that residential work rarely has to consider, including ADA-compliant counter heights and clearances in banks and public-facing healthcare spaces. Getting that right on paper and in the field is exactly what our solid surface team does on every project.
